RVN nursing lecturer vacancies
One of my lovely clients close to York is seeking 2 experienced and motivated Veterinary Nursing professionals to take a lead role in the delivery and development of its Veterinary Nursing programmes. The role includes responsibility for delivering a high standard of teaching, learning, and assessment, supporting curriculum development, managing marking and feedback, and contributing to the continuous improvement of resources and delivery methods. Flexibility is welcomed, and applications are encouraged by candidates seeking part-time or flexible working arrangements. They are looking for 1 full time and 1 part time(3 days a week)
These positions combine academic leadership, teaching, and course management, working closely with the Further and Higher Education Management Team to ensure consistently high standards, strong student outcomes, and an excellent learner experience. Alongside teaching, the post holder will play a key role in quality management within the department, working with internal and external stakeholders including validating universities, professional bodies, and external examiners. They will contribute to departmental planning, support budget management, and represent the Veterinary Nursing provision both internally and externally, developing strong partnerships with employers, schools, and higher education institutions to ensure the curriculum remains current and industry-focused.
The successful candidate will lead the specialist delivery of Veterinary Nursing modules, teach within their area of expertise, and support the development of student research. They will hold responsibility for course leadership, ensuring full compliance with awarding body and quality assurance requirements, and contributing to curriculum planning, assessment, and moderation. The role also involves supporting student recruitment, managing day-to-day student matters, overseeing placements, and maintaining high expectations for student conduct and progression.
The post holder is expected to uphold the College’s values, supporting its strategic goals, safeguarding responsibilities, equality and diversity commitments, and health and safety standards, while promoting a positive and professional learning environment for all students.
