This progressive team in Surrey is close to Hersham and Esher areas and is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and close-knit team, offering a fulfilling role where clinical excellence, collaboration and team wellbeing are equally valued.
The multi-vet practice is led by an experienced and compassionate Partner who promotes a supportive culture and encourages a healthy balance between professional and personal life. The successful candidate would work alongside a skilled and enthusiastic team comprising three Registered Veterinary Nurses, two Veterinary Care Assistants — one of whom is due to begin nursing training — and a dedicated Client Care Assistant. The entire team shares a strong commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
The practice takes particular pride in the strong relationships it builds with clients, who are highly engaged in their pets’ healthcare. This enables cases to be worked up thoroughly, with a notable strength in dentistry, where the team has developed considerable expertise and manages a varied and rewarding caseload.
The spacious, purpose-built premises include three dedicated consultation rooms, separate dog and cat wards, and a clearly defined preparation area supporting a well-equipped theatre. A welcoming staff room provides space for breaks and collaboration.
The role offers an excellent work-life balance, based on a three-day working week. The rota includes one in three weekends at this practice and one in six weekends at the nearby 24-hour Richmond Hospital in Richmond. Participation in a limited number of Bank Holidays, ERS days and on-call blocks is required, with these commitments carefully planned and shared across the region. For those seeking additional hours or a full-time position, this can be discussed, with the opportunity to share a rota at a nearby practice.
