My Client area offering an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and forward-thinking team located on the Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire border in the thriving Newark area. With fast train links to London (just 1 hour 10 minutes away) and excellent road access, this is an ideal location for someone seeking a great work-life balance in a beautiful market town setting.
The practice is bright, modern, and purpose-built, offering a spacious clinical environment that includes three consult rooms (one dedicated to feline patients), separate cat and dog wards, a dental suite with dental x-ray, ultrasound, and an endoscopy room. Upstairs, staff benefit from a comfortable lounge, kitchen, and a meeting room – plus ample outdoor space and private off-road parking.
You’ll be joining a passionate and supportive team that includes a Lead Vet with a GP Certificate in Dermatology, a skilled RVN, a caring VCA, and a dedicated Practice Manager. The practice handles a varied caseload and is well-integrated within the wider veterinary community, giving you direct access to advanced services and referrals, including MRI and CT imaging.
This is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours over four days, with part-time and flexible working options available. Whether you’re looking for career progression, a better work-life balance, or the chance to focus on your clinical interests, they are open to building a role that works for you.
From day one, you’ll benefit from private medical insurance, a health cash plan that covers dental, optical, and physiotherapy services, and access to a 24/7 private GP. Life assurance at three times your salary and round-the-clock mental health support are also included.
You’ll receive five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to six weeks with service, along with an extra paid ‘Day for You’ to spend however you choose. They support your continued development with a £1,500 CPD allowance and three days’ paid study leave, plus internal learning via Clinical Communities and the opportunity to pursue fully funded certificates.
All RCVS, VDS, and BVA fees are covered, and additional benefits include a sabbatical option, interest-free season ticket loan, Cycle to Work scheme, and full support with sponsorship for a Tier 2 Visa and relocation if required.
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career within a friendly, well-equipped practice where your voice is heard, your development is supported, and your wellbeing is valued.
