My Client has a small, friendly small-animal practice located in the heart of Redditch. The practice is RCVS Practice Standards Scheme registered and places strong value on team culture, offering a supportive, welcoming, and enjoyable working environment where every team member plays an important role.
The practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys a varied clinical role and is keen to contribute positively to a close-knit and collaborative team. This is a permanent position offering between 30 and 37 hours per week, worked across three or four days, with a shared Saturday rota of one in four (9am to 2pm). There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday requirements, supporting a healthy work–life balance. The salary is competitive, offering up to £60,000 FTE depending on experience.

The role includes a balanced mix of consultations and surgical procedures, along with occasional sole-charge shifts. Responsibilities also include supporting and mentoring veterinary students when they are on placement, maintaining consistently high standards of clinical care, and managing cases with a high degree of clinical freedom. While autonomy is encouraged, the Veterinary Surgeon will always have the support of a friendly and experienced team.

The role offers funded and encouraged CPD, opportunities for mentoring with visiting peripatetic surgeons, and a team environment that actively values learning and professional growth. colleagues also have access to a Learning Hub and specialist support.
Located in Redditch, the practice benefits from excellent transport links, making it ideal for commuting. It sits in a built-up area close to shops and local amenities, with Birmingham just 15 miles away. At the same time, beautiful countryside is only moments away, offering an ideal balance between convenience and access to green spaces.
In addition to a supportive working environment, the practice offers a comprehensive benefits package. This includes 6.6 weeks of paid holiday including bank holidays, a £1,750 annual CPD allowance, Health Shield contributions towards a wide range of health and wellbeing treatments, paid RCVS membership plus two additional professional subscriptions, and VDS cover.
