I’m working with a 24-hour Hospital who is looking to recruit a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to become part of its committed and professional team within a busy, well-equipped hospital setting. Based in South London
This permanent role provides a strong opportunity for the successful candidate to enhance their nursing expertise across medical, surgical, and emergency and critical care disciplines while working closely with a dedicated night veterinary surgeon. The hospital benefits from advanced facilities and manages a varied and complex caseload, including access to a CT suite, two operating theatres, as well as ultrasound and endoscopy equipment.
The role follows a structured rota of seven consecutive night shifts followed by fourteen nights off, on a rolling schedule.
Situated in a vibrant and well-connected area of South London, the hospital offers an appealing balance between professional and personal life. With Denmark Hill’s excellent transport links nearby, as well as the open green space of Ruskin Park and a thriving food scene, the location combines convenience with character and a high-quality working environment.
This practice understand that a career is about more than just a schedule and job title, and therefore provides a comprehensive package of benefits. Employees have access to a health cash plan, around-the-clock counselling and wellbeing support, and life assurance valued at three times their salary. Annual leave starts at five weeks in addition to bank holidays and increases with length of service, alongside an extra paid personal day each year.
The organisation also places strong emphasis on professional development, offering a continuing professional development allowance of £750 annually along with two days of paid leave, access to clinical communities and internal training, as well as support for further qualifications and clear career progression pathways. Additional support includes payment of RCVS and VDS fees.
The ideal candidate is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS who is committed to providing outstanding care to both patients and clients. They are a collaborative team member who is motivated to make a meaningful contribution within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.
