This lovely practice based in Durham, is recruiting a Veterinary surgically biased Surgeon to join its welcoming and supportive team on a full-time, six-month fixed-term basis. The practice brings together experienced Veterinary Surgeons, alongside a committed team of Nurses and Receptionists, all focused on delivering excellent standards of patient care. This opportunity would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery who is keen to work within a collaborative and positive clinical setting.
The practice is modern, spacious, and conveniently located close to the town centre. It benefits from excellent facilities, including separate patient wards, a large waiting area, a dedicated preparation room, and a fully equipped imaging suite. As an ISFM-accredited Cat Friendly Clinic, it also offers dedicated feline-only areas, including a separate entrance, waiting space, and ward, helping to create a low-stress environment for feline patients. The clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools such as digital and dental x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory equipment for haematology and biochemistry testing.
The role is full time, covering 40 hours per week across four days, with a 1 in 5 Saturday morning rota from 8:30am to 12:00pm. They are committed to supporting both the wellbeing and career progression of its colleagues. You will benefit from Private Medical Insurance, a Health Cash Plan, access to 24/7 wellbeing and counselling services, and Life Assurance of three times their annual salary.
The benefits package also includes five weeks of annual leave plus Bank Holidays, which increases with service. Ongoing professional development is actively supported through a £1,500 CPD allowance and three days of paid CPD leave each year.
