Our client are opening a brand new practice in Tyneside and refurbishing their other site.  They are looking for an additional veterinary surgeon to join them in this journey.

There are currently four veterinary surgeons with varying interests, which is expected to grow with the new practice.  Current experience levels range from 5-30 years so lots of support for vets with less experience. Vets work a 4 day week with 1 in 4 Saturdays.  There are no OOH's as these are covered by a provider in Newcastle.

Ideally candidates will have more than 12 months experience and be comfortably carrying out their own routine soft tissue.  They will also be happy with their own medical cases.  Support will be offered for vets to develop their personal interests, one vet is currently studying towards his surgical certificate.

The new practice will have:
  • Two theatres
  • Four consult rooms
  • Large prep area
  • Digital X-ray
  • Dental suite including X-ray
  • Ultrasound
  • Full in-house lab facility
  • Laparoscopic kit

The package for this role includes:
  • Salary 43-70,000
  • 6.6 weeks holiday
