An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients friendly clinic.
Established since 1994, this a two-site practice located in the beautiful County Durham. The sites are located close to each other and you would be working at both sites. Both practices are equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, in house haematology and biochemistry including SDMA, T4 and other extended panels. In addition, There is ultrasound, laser therapy, cautery, multi-parameters and bair huggers. There is a separate dog and cat waiting areas and are an ISFM silver cat friendly clinic at one of the sites and they are working towards this at the Durham surgery. The larger practice having an endoscope, tonometry and Imagyst.
Across the group, there are 9 experienced Veterinary Surgeons. The long-standing team members are friendly and look forward to welcoming a new colleague. You’ll have the support of a fantastic nursing team with 12 RVN’s, 1 SVN and 5 VCA’s and not to mention their exceptional receptionists and administrative team.
They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is as enthusiastic about animal care as they are. You will have a mix of consults and surgery so you have the best of both worlds. Case continuity is encouraged, as the client recognises how rewarding the development of the client/pet/vet bond can be. They strongly encourage career development so if you wish to pursue a specialism or certificate, The client would be delighted to discuss this with you.
Typically, the full-time position is 40 hours per week, spread over 4 days with a mix of early and late shifts (latest finish is 7pm). You will have a 1:5 share in the Saturday rota (finishing at 2pm) and there is no OOH or Bank Holidays. Salary is up to £65k pa DOE.
