This well-established and well-equipped practice located in a lovely coastal town in Essex are looking for an experienced small animal vet to join their 5 vet team.
The team are proud of the close knit team they have created, the whole team are encouraging and supportive of each and everyone of their colleagues, helping to develop their careers and knowledge. They currently have some well-established vets including a surgical certificate holder and they would encourage any members of the team to take on their chosen certificate. The practice is also a training centre for nurses too.
The group have a second, smaller branch practice 20 minutes away and have access to digital x-ray, Ultrasound (at both sites), large operating facilities and separate large cat and dog wards.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar first opinion practice and be competent with basic surgeries and confident with consultations. You will be working with an excellent team of 5 vets, RVN’S, and practice support staff. The teams RVN’s run regular nurse clinics and assist the vets with schedule 3 procedures.
This is a full time role, working 4-5 days per week but the team are open to other flexible working patterns should you wish to discuss something other than this.
There will be a 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (until 12.30pm) but no Sundays or OOH's.
For the right person they can offer very comfortable accommodation with sea views and a vehicle, if required. Plus a generous salary, reflecting your experienced and skills, from £40k-£60k, a generous CPD allowance to allow you to advance in a subject of your choice, 25 days holidays and 8 Bank Holidays, RCVS / VDS paid and a Health Shield Cash Plan.
The team have great ties to the local communities who help to make this a very special place to work. The practice is just 3 miles from the seafront and just a 90-minute commute to the vibrant City of London, giving you the best of both worlds and making this a great place to be.
