Veterinary Surgeon
Stockport- Greater Manchester
40 hours per week over 4 days | 1 in 6 full weekends | Flexible and part-time options available
Are you a passionate vet looking to be part of a forward-thinking, supportive team that champions innovation and clinical excellence? At this hospital they are offering you the opportunity to work in a dynamic, well-equipped environment with the freedom to pursue your clinical interests and truly make a difference.
This clinic has a long-standing reputation for pioneering minimally invasive surgical techniques—and that legacy continues to this day. They’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who shares a commitment to high-quality care and who’s ready to contribute to this growing, motivated team. Whether your passion lies in surgery, medicine, or something more specialised, you’ll find the space and support here to explore and develop your career.
The practice itself is modern and spacious, featuring a large prep area, advanced imaging suite, and bespoke cat and dog wards, as well as a separate isolation unit. You’ll also benefit from the support of the dedicated out-of-hours team, who work closely with the day team to ensure continuity and the highest standard of patient care—day and night.
This is a full-time role over four days per week, including 1 in 6 full weekends. However, they understand the importance of work-life balance and are happy to discuss flexible options, including part-time roles or school-hour shifts.
Benefits include: private medical insurance, a health cash plan covering everything from dental to optical care, and access to a 24/7 private GP. You’ll also receive life assurance, 5 weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service), and an extra paid ‘Day for You’ to use however you wish.
They support your professional growth with a £1,500 CPD allowance, 3 days of paid CPD leave, and access to internal learning opportunities and clinical communities. They will also cover your RCVS, VDS, and BVA fees and offer fully funded certificate opportunities and relocation and visa sponsorship support for international applicants.
Your role will centre around delivering outstanding clinical care to patients, while maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with clients. You’ll create tailored treatment plans, ensure clear communication at every stage, and uphold the highest standards in all aspects of compliance and clinical operations. You’ll also be a valued member of the wider community, contributing to a shared culture of support, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
If you're ready to work in a modern, collaborative environment where your ideas are valued and your development is prioritised, we’d love to hear from you. For more information or an informal chat, contact below
