Lead Veterinary Surgeon – West Yorkshire – Up to £70,000 DOE
This practice are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team at their long-established practice in Pudsey, just outside of Leeds. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality care for patients, with an interesting and varied caseload and a loyal client base, with have a high percentage of insured patients, enabling you to work up cases thoroughly and treat your patients effectively. The team is known for its excellent client relationships, and expect the same from the new Lead Vet, who should have excellent communication skills and experience working in the UK.
You will also have the chance to mentor junior Veterinary Surgeons, helping to guide their development. A solid understanding of practice finances and a desire to help grow the practice is essential. For the right candidate, there is also an exciting partnership opportunity.
About the Role: The ideal candidate will be confident in all routine surgeries, with experience in advanced soft tissue and orthopaedics (including cruciate surgery) as they handle the majority of these procedures in-house. Holding a surgical certificate would be ideal, but they are open to considering other certifications. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with a 1 in 3 Saturday rota (9am-4pm) and no out-of-hours or bank holidays, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
•    Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE, with potential for increases as you take on more senior responsibilities
•    Work-Life Balance: 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays and no OOH or bank holidays
•    Holidays: 28 days annual leave, rising to 33 days after 2 years of service, plus a day off for your birthday
•    CPD: Minimum £1500 allowance and 5 paid days off for CPD, with certificate support available
