Our client based just North of Peterborough are looking for a Full Time Small Animal Vet to join the team.  The client is open to consider both experienced and inexperienced applicants, as the team has enough experience an support to develop and mentor less experienced team members.

The clinic is a fully equipped general practice with spacious premises, separate cat and dog wards, separate exotic hospital. Ophthalmic surgery in house and they also have a visiting orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeon.  The client is also keen to encourage further qualifications and certificates for those that want to.  The Day Manager organises the logistics of the day allowing vets to be vets and focus on their patients, creating a smoother flow to the day. 20 minute consultations as standard and double appointments for more complicated cases also contribute to a manageable workload.

The clinic is based in Lincolnshire on the border near Cambridgeshire and Rutland. There is easy access to London, the midlands, and the north via a nearby main trainline and we are within 90 minutes of 2 airports (East Midlands and Stansted).  Lovely rural location a short distance from the historic market town of Stamford and Rutland Water with fantastic loyal clients. 

The team has 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 RVN, 6 SVN, 4 VCA, 7 support, ECC and Ophthalmology certificate holders and 2 recent graduates. They have an excellent level of experience to support all stages of your career and are also a nurse training practice so teaching and learning are embedded in their culture. The team are welcoming, supportive of one another and genuinely pull together.

This would be for 4 days week between Monday and Saturday with 1 night a week on call for hospitalised inpatients (inpatients are cared for by night staff and call outs are rare). Vets Now see all overnight emergencies and cover Saturday night, Sundays and Bank Holidays.  Salary is up to £65,000 dependent on skills, experience and further qualifications + up to £3,000 relocation bonus negotiable. The ideal candidate will be someone who is enthusiastic, with a positive team playing approach to working together to provide the excellent level of care the whole team are proud of.
