Our client has two purpose-built practices in the Kendal area, both are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology offering a wide range of medical and surgical treatments including Digital radiography, endoscopy/bronchoscopy, modern operating theatres, in house lab and ultrasound scanners at both sites. 

There is a fantastic team of caring and professional vets, nurses, and support staff. The main branch is on the edge of The Lake District known for its beautiful lakes, rugged fell mountains and historic literary associations.  The other branch has the Yorkshire Dales on its doorstep best known for its stunning scenery and great natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Aysgarth Falls, a stunning area and located close to the M6 and other travel links. The client is extremely proud that the practice has been running for over 100 years and is well established with a loyal client base and they pride themselves on offering a personal but friendly service to our local communities.

There is a team of 10 small animal vets that are of part of a 15-vet mixed small animal and farm practice – SA and FA run as separate clinical teams. There is a team of 8 RVNs and 1 SVN and to compliment that there is a team of 12 full and part time support staff across the two sites.  There are certificate holders in cardiology, Cert AVP and master’s in animal behaviour.  
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated Veterinary Surgeon, to join their team of caring and professional vets and nurses who provide the very best of care to companion animals. This is a full-time role working 4 days per week and approximately 8 weekends per year. Salary for the role is up to £65k pa DOE.

You will have previous experience with an interest in orthopaedic surgery. Opportunities for progression within the practice exist for the right candidate looking for a long-term role. You will be hardworking, friendly, and relaxed SA clinician to join the team to deliver an excellent standard of clinical care in a friendly, and welcoming environment in a beautiful part of the country.
