Our client is a small but very busy practice that encourages each member of staff to pursue their individual interests, in order to provide a friendly happy service to their clients. They are now looking for a full-time Small Animal Vet to join them.

The clinic ethos is to make the working environment somewhere to thrive and enjoy the job despite the current economic and social difficulties that our profession meets. They have all the usual tools including an endoscope, digital xray and in house laboratory. The practice is in a beautiful coastal setting looking out across to the Gower, so your breaks could consist of sandy beach walks with food from one of the many lovely local eateries. Secondly, family comes first and as all their vets have family, they understand what that entails so are very flexible and amenable to people’s needs. Thirdly, their clients… and that is what stands us apart, they support all staff foremost because unless they are happy they cannot provide the best care for clients and their animals.

Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of animal physiology, nutrition, and medicine with practical skills to diagnose illness, prescribe medicines, and perform imaging tests, laboratory tests and surgery. You must ber RCVS registered and have experience with small animals, demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of preventative health plans. You will have experience working in an empathetic customer-focused environment and have an element of flexibility. You will need to be an excellent communicator, paired with being a brilliant listener. You will have the ability to prioritise, delegate and make challenging decisions and be an avid team player and support your colleagues.

You will be a problem-solving Vet who can effectively manage their time, remain calm under pressure, yet be assertive and patient when required. You will have a positive can-do attitude and be passionate about your work. You have a driving license and be comfortable travelling between our branches.
