Our client has a hospital just 20 minutes East of Edniburgh who are now looking for a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them.

The hospital is well equipped with digital radiography, in-house laboratory, ultrasonography, endoscopy, visiting specialists and ECG to name a few. They have dedicated nurse consult rooms and encourage clinics. They run their own OOH service and the nurses run their own on call rota to assist the vet on call.

The client has 5 branches situated over the beautiful East Lothian countryside. They have a dedicated friendly team of 14 receptionists,10 nurses and 15 vets.

The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable and motivated. This role is for 40 hours over 5 days per week, variable shift patterns 8am - 12pm start (8 hrs shifts), 1 in 10 weekends and an on call rota. You will be a confident nurse who is happy to have sole charge at times, flexible and reliable. Salary is up to £32k pa DOE.

Daily duties include but are not limited to:
· Administering drugs
· Anaesthetics and injections
· Preparing animals for surgery
· Maintaining, sterilising, and laying out surgical equipment
· Monitoring hospitalised cases
· Carrying out nurse consults and triage
· Schedule 3 encouraged. Sole charge branch work will also be included in rota.
