Would you like to work for a practice that puts colleague wellbeing and happiness as a priority? The client has created fair and manageable shift patterns, giving clinicians plenty of time for case work-ups, admin, telephone calls, as well as a very important rest. This alongside accommodating for each individual's personal and professional needs and requirements in order to create a good work-life balance for all and treating everyone as individuals. The clinic sees a really interesting mix of cases, with a really good proportion of clients insured, making investigations or referral more feasible options.

Their premises are fresh and new, with large consulting rooms, large waiting areas with separate cat, dog and nurse appointment areas, and a big emphasis on fear free and cat friendly principles throughout the team. They are always updating and refreshing equipment and are always keen to hear of any new pieces of kit people want to champion within the practice. All of our team are invested in providing the very best level of care to each patient that walks in the door and because of this we have a very loyal and friendly client base.

The practice is a very short walk away from the sea front, on the beautiful North Norfolk coast, and there is nothing better on a hot summer’s day than a stroll down to the sea in your lunch break, and ice creams all round for the team They regularly hold 'family lunches' where they get food in for everyone from one of the local eateries, as well as 'Costa runs' to keep everyone caffeinated on those busier days.

Support to all team members is a really important ethos that all the team maintain and the new Clinical Director will have the direct support of the previous Clinical Director who is only leaving to move into an Area Director capacity. The practice will have a designated Area Director and Area Support Manager who look after a small number of practices and will be able to offer 1-to-1 support and guidance.

The practice has certificate holders (dentistry and surgery), as well as RVNs undergoing extra qualifications in their chosen areas of interest. You will be supported by a team of 4 other vets, as well as 5 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 ANA and a host of wonderful support staff.

This is the perfect position for either an experienced vet wanting to move into a senior role, or a vet wanting to take that first leap into leadership. The role will involve a good proportion of clinical time to work-up and develop your own caseload alongside managerial responsibilities and leadership of the team.

Ideally you will be full time, but this could be flexible for the right candidate. Full time is 40h/week with either a 4 or 5-day week. There are no OOH responsibilities, but there might be very occasional inpatient duties for stable patients that we deem safe to keep in overnight. A neighbouring hospital covers the OOH and weekend inpatients. There will be a requirement to contribute to the Saturday morning consult only rota, which at present is 1 in 4 weekends. The salary for this role is up to £70,000 depending on experience.

A desire to continue maintaining excellent team wellbeing is a must, along with maintaining top clinical standards and continuing the development of the practice. A real team player who will happily support each colleague while continuing to make the clinic valued part of the local community. Managerial experience is not necessarily required as support will be given from an Area Director and Area Support Manager who know the practice and the location well. A sound knowledge and experience in first opinion small animal practice will be required in order to fulfil the CD responsibilities, but mostly the desire to lead a happy and hard-working team.
