Our client is a well-equipped small friendly practice who has been established for 62 years in the Newbury area.
The team has a passion for learning and sharing all their knowledge with each other. Large numbers of their clients have been registered with the practice for many years and these long-term relationships are key to their success and always remain important to them. The experienced and supportive team is made up of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 9 support team members and are building the team to 5 RVNs.
The ideal candidate will be someone who takes joy in coming to work and offering excellent patient care, utilising fear free techniques. The vets are split across three branches, but the nursing team, work most of the time in Newbury. The role will involve a nice mix of consulting and surgery and there is a varied caseload. The vets are encouraged to work up cases as thoroughly as possible allowing you clinical freedom and autonomy.
Typically, this is a full-time position working 38 hours Monday – Friday with 1in 4 Saturdays and no OOH. The client is open to applications from both full or part-time applicants and they are happy to be flexible and work together to find a rota that would work.
- Salary up to £75,000 DOE (FTE)
- £5,000 Welcome Bonus
- Up to £5,000 Relocation Assistance
You will be a warm, friendly Veterinary Surgeon who would like to offer care that fits with practice ethos. The successful candidate will be capable and confident in all routine surgery and medical cases. You will have excellent communication skills - both with clients and the rest of the team. There is very much the opportunity to develop the role to suit you, they encourage CPD and for you to develop your own areas of interest.
