Our client has a group of practices in the Stevenage area which have been established since 2000. They are now looking for a Full or Part time Small Animal Vet to join the team.
The are six surgeries in the area all with high standard equipment includes the latest in Digital Radiography technology, High-speed Colour Doppler Ultrasound scanners, Digital endoscopy, High-powered Dental Scalers and Polishers, ECG & Anaesthetic monitoring equipment. ~The team is made up of 8 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses and 11 Receptionists. The partner qualified in Bristol University in 1984 so has a wealth of experience to offer. There is a team of experienced and very capable Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses aim to provide the highest quality of care for client’s pets. CPD is highly encouraged, for example, one of the vets in doing a laparoscopic course with the RVC shortly and one RVN is doing a certificate in nursing.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon with great client communication skills, a good team ethic and able to make decisions, delegate and prioritise. Ideally you will have an interest in surgery and orthopaedics, but this is not essential.
Your typical week would include mornings and afternoons made up of consultations. After consultations, the rest of your day will be spent liaising with the inpatients and the owners regarding further work ups required or you will be on theatre duties and will complete the ops booked in for that day. The client is very open to part time application for this role.
The salary for this role is up to £67,000 depending on experience.
