Our client has a group of successful practice in the Derby area, they are now looking for a Full or Part Time Small Animal Vet tyo join them.

They are supported by their Tier 3 accredited hospital and 7 sister practice sites – all sites are accredited by the RCVS under the Practice Standards Scheme. They have a team of a registered veterinary nurses, veterinary care assistants and client care advisors. The practice is well equipped with lab facilities, digital x-ray, ultrasound, theatre suite and three consulting rooms. The main hospital provides the out of hours care and hospitalisation facilities which also includes CT scanner, MRI, Advanced Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Digital X-ray, Dental radiography, and multiple surgical suites, as well as an onsite hydrotherapy & rehabilitation centre and benefits from a multi-disciplinary specialist led referral service. 

Centrally located there are great transport links to the rest of the country with trains running from Derby to London, Nottingham, Birmingham, and Leeds to name a few, making it an ideal location for and East Midlands airport is just 30 minutes away.

The role offers a mix of preventative; medical and surgical cases within a 1st opinion setting.  There is an opportunity to develop and tailor the service they currently provide around your strengths and interests, and actively encourage and support further certificate study should this be of interest to you.

The role working up to 38 hours per week (Full time basis) across 4 days per week with 1:4 Saturday mornings 8:30am-1:00pm & 1:8 Sunday day shift. Part time hours can also be considered as well as job share as we can offer flexible working patterns that flex with you and your lifestyle.
Salary is up to £63,000 negotiable D.O.E, plus a welcome bonus of up to £5,000 and a relocation allowance of up to £5,000.

You must be RCVS registered, confident in all aspects of 1st opinion work. Have a clean and current driving licence, works well in a team environment as well as a one-one basis, works well under pressure, self-motivated and confident in their skillset.
