Our client is part of a group of 8 practices based in the South Wales area.  They are now looking or a Full Time Small Animal Vet to join them.

The group has been established for over 10 years, they have built a loyal client base and take pride in providing the best service to pets and clients. The clinic is a 5-minute drive to the beautiful Caerphilly Castle which is a popular favourite amongst the team who frequently sit and enjoy their lunch overlooking this historical landmark. They are also just a 30 minute drive from Cardiff city centre and close to all local amenities. There is a welcoming reception/waiting area, two consult rooms, prep room and theatre. The branch is fully equipped and also has its own in house lab area, x-ray, ultrasound machine and signal pet plus the back up of 24 hour hospital and certificate holders.

Ideally this is a full time position, working in a sole charge capacity, supported by a dedicated RVN (15 years’ experience), SVN, 2 Receptionists and Practice Manager. You will see a mix of consult and surgery (usually Monday, Thursday and Fridays are the ops days). Case continuity is actively encouraged, and you can follow up more complicated cases at the other sites if needed. As you will be part of a larger group, you will always have access to a wealth of expertise and experience. 

If you want a mix of sole charge and working alongside other Vets, the client is open to you working at two sites so that you are not working sole charge all of the time.

Typically, Vets work 40 hours over 5 days per week with no weekends. The practice opening and closing hours are 8.30am-6pm so if you want a 4-day week, they can discuss making up the extra hours on a Saturday rota at Newport. There is no OOH. They would also welcome part time applicants.

Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience PLUS up to £5000 Welcome Bonus and up to £5000 Relocation Allowance
