Our client’s practice based in beautiful Windsor is looking for a good all round experienced Small Animal Vet.

The Hospital is a fully equipped first opinion practice seeing a wide range of surgical and medical cases. There are 4 consultation rooms, separate cat and dog waiting rooms and wards. As well as all the usual facilities of a first opinion practice, they have a dedicated dental suite, an imaging room and a full in-house laboratory. The hospital is very well equipped with a Karl Storz laparotomy tower, radiography, ultrasound, dental radiography, full in-house laboratory, a Tonopen, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, orthopaedic equipment, ECG, Capnography and much more. They are proud to be the only practice within a 15-mile radius able to offer laparoscopic surgery to their patients. 

There is a wonderful team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, who's working patterns equate to an equivalent of 4.5 Full time vets. They are incredibly lucky to have 2 x certificate holders within the vet team, one surgical cert holder and one medical cert holder. They are also very fortunate to have both of the previous practice partners still working with them. The nursing team consists of 10 nurses, made up of 8 RVN's and 2 students. In addition, they have 5 support staff including the Practice Manager, Reception and Admin teams. The colleagues welfare is of upmost importance to them. Providing a high standard of client and patient care is at the forefront of everything they do. They are hopeful to find a candidate that fits within the team values and ethos.


The role will include a mixture of surgery and consultation days covering all aspects of first opinion practice. The full-time role will involve working 4 days per week and 1:3 Saturday mornings. The client would be happy to consider and discuss part - time options for any candidates that are unable to work full time. The candidate will be required to be on call approximately once weekly for their inpatients that are hospitalised at the practice.  The ideal candidate would be an experienced veterinary surgeon who is competent in all aspects of first opinion veterinary medicine and surgery to complement the existing team of dedicated vets. The successful candidate must strive to provide gold standard veterinary care to patients and clients, whilst working closely with the vet team to approach to discuss clinical cases with excellence and continuity.
 
Salary is up to £70k pa DOE and there is an additional £2k relocation allowance if required.
