Our client are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their close-knit team.
This is a 6 branch practice based in the West Midlands, with branches based in Walsall, Darlaston, Brownhills, Lichfield and Cannock. They are a strong team consisting of 8 FTE Veterinary surgeons with varying interests and 11 FTE Veterinary nurses, plus a strong support team of VCA's and dedicated receptionists.
The branches have digital x-rays machines, Ultrasound machines which are used for abdominal scanning and also echocardiograms. They own a laser therapy machine and laparoscopic equipment. The team support certificates and further personal development and currently have 4 vets studying for certificates in Surgery, Ophthalmology and Diagnostic imaging. The team also have special interests in cardiology, medicine, physiotherapy and exotics.
The team are looking for a new veterinary surgeon to join the team and help them to continue being able to offer a high standard of care to clients in both medicine and surgery.
The succesful candidate will enjoy a diverse day with duties involving consulting 9am-11am (15 minute consultations), operations are booked between 11am until 1pm, then a minimum of a two hour break in the afternoon before consulting restarts again from 4:30pm-7pm. This would be for 5 days per week, but could be flexible with part time applicants considered.
You will not be expected to work out of hours and the weekend rota is equally shared. Ideally the successful candidate would have experience in consulting and routine surgery and you will have use of a digital x-ray machine, laparoscopic equipment and ultrasound.
Salary for the role is up to £60k pa DOE and a relocation allowance of up to £5k if required. Benefits include 5 weeks paid holiday not including bank holidays, 5 days paid CPD leave / £1250 CPD Allowance per annum, Private Medical Insurance, VDS Membership paid and BVA Membership paid amongst other things.
