Veterinary Surgeon – A+E & Inpatient Care
Location: Teesside (New Hospital Opening January 2026)
Are you passionate about Emergency and Critical Care but prefer daytime hours? This new venture are looking for an A+E/Inpatient Veterinary Surgeon to join a brand-new hospital in Teesside.
In this exciting role, you’ll oversee inpatient care and emergency cases, managing a varied caseload with a medical focus. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the best outcomes for our inpatients, whether performing emergency procedures yourself or coordinating care with a skilled team. There is also a small element of general practice work included, allowing you to maintain your consult and elective surgery skills.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to reassure and guide clients through stressful situations. They are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, integrity, and a genuine commitment to providing the highest standard of care.
You’ll share a vision for working within an environment where patient care and not profit are paramount and be keen to contribute to a supportive, highly skilled team.
Rota & Working Hours
• Full-time 40 hours per week (part-time applicants considered)
• 12-hour day shifts (including 1-hour unpaid lunch)
• Weekend rotation: 1 in 3 weekends (not sole charge)
