An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is keen to further develop their surgical expertise within a welcoming and supportive practice environment.
Located in the market town of Daventry, this position provides the chance to take the lead on all surgical work within the practice. As there are no other vets with a primary surgical focus in the team, all relevant cases will be directed to this role. This allows the successful candidate to build confidence, broaden their surgical skill set, and establish a strong and varied caseload.
The role sits within a friendly and collaborative team that benefits from a loyal, long-standing client base. The practice is well-equipped, featuring ultrasound, ECG, dental facilities, an in-house laboratory, and dedicated wards for cats and dogs.
Daventry offers a balance of charming market town living with convenient amenities, nearby countryside, and excellent transport links via the M1 and A45.
This is a full-time position of 40 hours across four days, though part-time applications are also considered. The role includes a weekend rota of either one in three Saturdays or one in six full weekends with no out-of-hours requirements.
This opportunity is particularly well suited to a veterinary professional seeking greater surgical involvement, increased autonomy, and the chance to advance their clinical capabilities.
The benefits package reflects a strong commitment to wellbeing, career progression, and work-life balance. It includes private medical insurance and a health cash plan, access to round-the-clock wellbeing support, and life assurance. Annual leave starts at five weeks plus bank holidays and increases with service.
Professional development is actively supported through a CPD allowance of £1,500 with three days of paid leave, access to internal learning resources and clinical communities, and opportunities for funded certificates and structured career progression.
Further support includes payment of professional fees, relocation assistance, visa sponsorship where applicable
