I’m working with a client who are seeking a passionate and committed Veterinary Surgeon to become part of a warm and supportive team in the borough of Southwark. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving, long-established practice in the heart of London, where you’ll enjoy a varied caseload, genuine clinical independence, and the chance to make a meaningful difference to both pets and their owners.
You’ll have the freedom to manage your own cases and work to your full potential, supported by a skilled nursing team extensive network of referral hospitals, advanced imaging, and diagnostic facilities. Whether you’re an experienced vet or looking to take the next step in your career, you’ll be encouraged and supported to develop your skills and interests, with access to tailored CPD and certificate opportunities.
Situated in one of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods, The Southwark practice is just a short walk from London Bridge, Borough Market, and the South Bank. It’s an ideal location for those who love city life, offering a vibrant mix of culture, food, and open spaces, along with excellent transport connections.
The modern, well-equipped practice includes digital x-ray, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and multiparameter monitoring, providing everything you need to deliver the highest standard of care. You’ll be joining a welcoming, close-knit team that values collaboration, compassion, and clinical excellence — a place where everyone’s contribution truly matters.
This position comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including private medical insurance and a health cash plan from day one (covering dental, physio, and optical services, plus 24/7 private GP access). You’ll also receive life assurance equivalent to three times your salary, five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to six weeks with length of service), and an additional paid “Day for You.”
Further benefits include £1,500 annual CPD funding with three days’ paid study leave, access to internal CPD and Clinical Communities, and fully funded certificates. Professional fees for the VDS, RCVS, and BVA are covered, and sabbaticals are offered based on length of service
