This great five vet team is seeking a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join its established team in North London. This modern and progressive practice is dedicated to delivering exceptional first-opinion care and is committed to investing in its people, facilities, and local community.
The practice is well equipped with comprehensive on-site surgical, dental, and diagnostic facilities, including digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. These resources enable clinicians to work up cases thoroughly and to a high standard. Consultations are appointment-based, with a minimum of 15 minutes allocated per patient to ensure personalised and attentive care.
As an RCVS-accredited practice under the Practice Standards Scheme (Core), and with Cat Friendly accreditation and Investors in the Environment recognition, the team demonstrates a clear commitment to clinical excellence and sustainability. Work is ongoing towards additional PSS awards and Dog Friendly accreditation. As a nurse training practice, it also plays an active role in supporting the next generation of veterinary professionals through structured graduate training and a nurturing environment for early-career nurses
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a UK small animal practice and be confident with routine surgical procedures and consultations. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach to teamwork, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, contextualised patient care are essential.
Located in the heart of a vibrant neighbourhood, the practice benefits from excellent public transport links and is surrounded by independent shops, cafés, and restaurants. It serves a well-established and loyal client base and has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality veterinary services within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
In return, the practice offers a competitive benefits package, including five weeks’ holiday plus bank holidays and birthday leave (pro rata), paid RCVS and VDS fees, access to a bonus scheme, and encouragement and funding for certifications. Additional benefits include an employer contribution pension scheme, life assurance, an electric car salary sacrifice scheme, enhanced equal family leave, and access to extensive internal and funded external CPD opportunities.
