If surgery is your passion and you’re looking for variety, career progression, and a genuine work-life balance, this could be your perfect next step. This Lincolnshire practice offering a four-day working week, split between two practices — two days a week at each — with only a small 1-in-3 Saturday rota (8:30 am to 12 pm).
The first is a vibrant multi-vet hub with a diverse caseload, excellent facilities, and strong clinical support. The second offers the independence of sole charge within a welcoming, close-knit branch. Between the two sites, you’ll have access to high-quality equipment including VVS scan, orthopaedics, and digital and dental X-ray, giving you everything you need to deliver first-class surgical care.
This client believes in investing in people. They offer funded certificates, a network of in-house clinical communities covering Surgery, Medicine, Imaging, Ophthalmology and Exotics, as well as relocation support and Visa sponsorship if required. You’ll benefit from the best of both worlds — the backing of a supportive, forward-thinking team alongside the freedom to grow and develop your own surgical expertise.
From your first day, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including private medical insurance, a health cash plan covering dental, physiotherapy and optical services, access to a 24/7 private GP service, and life assurance worth three times your salary. They offer five weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to six weeks with service, as well as an additional ‘Day for You’ to take whenever you wish. You’ll have £1,500 CPD allowance with three days’ paid CPD leave each year, plus extensive internal training opportunities and funded certificate options. Your RCVS, VDS and BVA fees are covered, and they also offer sabbaticals, an interest-free season ticket loan, cycle-to-work scheme, and generous discounts
In this role, you’ll deliver outstanding clinical care during both consultations and surgical procedures, keeping clients fully informed with clear, compassionate communication. You’ll prepare accurate, tailored treatment plans, ensure the highest standards of regulatory and operational compliance, and work closely with your team to mentor, develop and make the best use of everyone’s skills. You’ll complete thorough clinical handovers, arrange any necessary transfers for patients requiring out-of-hours or enhanced care, and share best practice
To succeed in this position, you’ll be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with proven experience in delivering exceptional care to patients and clients alike. You’ll thrive in a team environment, have strong clinical leadership skills, and bring a positive, progressive approach to practice culture. You’ll also understand how to support nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, and how to coach and influence colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for both patients and the practice.
If you’re ready to combine surgical excellence with variety, independence, and the support to develop your career, we’d love to hear from you.
