I’m working with a great clinic in Norfolk, who are offering a fantastic opportunity for a full-time or part-time Small Animal Vet to join their friendly and supportive team. Whether you are in the early stages of your career or already have some experience, this role provides a welcoming environment where you can thrive. The salary ranges from £40,000 to £60,000 pro rata, depending on experience.
They are a clinic where every team member has a voice. The practice culture encourages collaboration, new ideas and shared decision-making, and above all, centres on looking after people. The clinic is equipped with everything you would expect from a modern veterinary practice, including separate cat, dog and exotic wards, a dedicated dental suite, an imaging room with digital X-ray and ultrasound, a well-equipped in-house laboratory, three spacious consulting rooms and a large waiting area designed with separate zones for cats, dogs and anxious pets. They also provide a peaceful and comfortable room for euthanasia, specifically created so clients can say goodbye to their companions in a calm and compassionate space.
The nursing team is highly skilled and continually advancing, with colleagues undertaking additional qualifications in areas such as Schedule 3 procedures, ultrasonography, advanced medical nursing, anaesthesia, feline behaviour and dermatology. As an eco-conscious practice, they are reducing environmental impact through reusable clinical charts, a compost heap and even their own herb garden for rabbits. They also run a wildlife fund that allows them to care for strays and injured wildlife, and have a lovely outdoor area where the team can relax and enjoy some sunshine. One of the many benefits of working there is that you are welcome to bring your dog to work each day, with on-site kennelling available.
Based in a charming village on the  Norfolk–Suffolk border, with the nearby town of Diss offering excellent local amenities and transport links. Norwich is just a 20-minute train ride away, and London is under two hours. Beautiful places like Southwold beach and Thetford Forest are within easy reach, and Wortham Ling—an ideal dog-walking spot—is only two minutes away. For those relocating, they can offer short-term accommodation in a spacious two-bedroom flat in Harleston, and a vehicle can be provided for the first three months if required.
The team consistently describes the clinic as a place where people are heard, supported and appreciated. Colleagues frequently mention how easy it is to share ideas, how understanding and approachable the management team is, and how positive and friendly the working environment feels.
The role itself offers a balance of medical and surgical cases within a modern, bright and spacious clinical setting. Consultations are 15 minutes long, and the diary is designed with regular breaks and protected admin time so that you can stay on top of your notes, speak to clients and discuss cases with colleagues, all while ensuring you finish your day on time. They hold regular team meetings and maintain an environment that values communication and teamwork.
In addition to a supportive workplace culture, they offer a generous benefits package. You will receive 6.6 weeks of annual leave including bank holidays and access to visa support, accommodation and transportation for up to three months if needed. CPD is strongly encouraged, with a £1,750 budget and five days of paid CPD leave each year. Professional fees for the RCVS, BVA and one other membership are covered. You will also have access to a Health Shield plan, the Cycle to Work scheme, environmental initiatives, length-of-service rewards, compassionate leave, social and charity events and free on-site parking.
