My clients in Warwickshire are looking for a vet with solid GP experience, confidence in sole-charge situations and excellent communication skills, someone who values teamwork and contributes positively to practice life.
This practice was named new practice of the year when it started out and it remains proud of its status as a thriving, award-winning GP-standard practice. With full RCVS accreditation, Silver Cat Friendly status and RWAF recognition, they are committed to maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care.
As they continue to grow and welcome an exciting variety of medical and surgical cases, you will become part of a team led by 2 practice owners one of whom brings over thirteen years of experience, is a qualified Vet GDP advisor and enjoys all aspects of veterinary work, with particular interest in soft tissue surgery and preventative medicine. And the other is an RVN with more than twenty-two years in practice, has a strong focus on preventative healthcare and anaesthesia. They are supported by a Practice Manager and onsite Mental Health First Aider, as well as another skilled vet, a dedicated nursing team, a veterinary care assistant and three client care advisors.
The position is designed as a full-time role with shifts running from 9am to 5pm or 11am to 7pm, plus one Saturday in three. Nevertheless, they welcome conversations with those seeking greater flexibility. To support the team’s wellbeing and workflow, consultations are set at 20 minutes with the final appointment at 6.30pm, ensuring a punctual finish. The diary also includes protected time for admin, tea breaks and lunch.
In return, they provide a competitive salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience, along with 5.6 weeks of holiday, life assurance at four times annual salary, a contributory pension scheme and paid memberships for the RCVS, BVA and VDS. CPD is encouraged and fully supported, including certificates or equivalent study. The role offers flexible working hours, no out-of-hours commitments and the opportunity to discuss a relocation allowance. Colleagues also benefit from the cycle-to-work scheme, access to wellbeing support programmes and a range of exclusive discounts.
The practice is a modern, purpose-built environment equipped with everything required for high-quality clinical work, including a Cryopen for cryotherapy. Situated in Nuneaton, they enjoy excellent connections to nearby Birmingham and Coventry, and are less than an hour from London Euston by direct rail. With great local amenities, easy parking, strong public transport links and quick access to major road networks, the location offers convenience as well as quality of life.
