My client is on the lookout for a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and experienced team. Ideally, you’ll have a few years of clinical experience and will have genuine passion for early diagnostics, a commitment to comprehensive patient care, and a drive for ongoing clinical growth.
This modern, purpose-built practice is equipped with excellent facilities, and they are proud of their passionate, skilled team. Many of the vets are certificate holders or are working towards further qualifications, helping to deliver a high standard of care to every patient. They are committed to creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to develop.
You’ll play a key role in providing preventative healthcare, diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, and managing cases with consistency and compassion. A strong focus on animal welfare is essential. They are keen to find a clear communicator, a collaborative team player, and someone who thrives in a supportive, close-knit environment that includes both clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
Your Working Week
• Full-time vets typically work a 4-day week, with a regular day off to support work-life balance
• Each shift is 9 hours, including a balanced mix of consulting and surgery
• A dedicated hour for admin is included daily, ensuring you stay on top of your caseload without encroaching on personal time
• Weekend cover follows a 1-in-4 rota
Flexibility Matters
They understand that everyone’s ideal schedule looks different. If our typical setup doesn’t quite fit your needs, let’s talk—happy to explore flexible working patterns to find a solution that works for both you and the team.
To support and reward the team, they offer a generous benefits package, including:
Quarterly recognition payments, Enhanced maternity and paternity pay, Income protection cover, Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme, Boost employee benefits and retail discounts, Health & wellbeing support via Help at Hand, Funded professional memberships, Generous CPD allowance, 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays, Discounts on veterinary services, Internal leadership development opportunities
