Veterinary Surgeon – Surgical Focus with Family-Friendly Hours
Are you a skilled Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role that offers both professional growth and genuine work-life balance? This Stoke based practice understand the demands of family life and are proud to offer flexible working hours—ideal for parents or anyone needing a schedule that works around school runs or other commitments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet with a surgical interest who’s keen to build their experience in a supportive, forward-thinking environment. You’ll be joining a friendly, experienced team led by a Partner and Lead Vet who has particular expertise in dentistry and orthopaedics. You’ll be well supported by a strong clinical team including a Head RVN and an efficient Practice Manager, all working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care.
The practice is fully equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house lab equipment. You’ll also have access to advanced diagnostics and equipment at a nearby 24-hour hospital—including CT, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and multi-parameter monitoring. They are also currently working towards ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation, reflecting their commitment to continuous improvement and high standards.
They welcome applications for both full-time and part-time roles and are happy to design a rota that avoids early starts or late finishes. Whether you're after set hours around school drop-offs or a flexible pattern that works for your lifestyle, they will try to make it work for you.
Benefits from Day One:
You'll receive private medical insurance, a health cash plan covering dental, optical, and physiotherapy, and access to a 24/7 private GP service. Additional support includes life assurance at 3x your salary, a 24-hour counselling line, and financial perks like an interest-free season ticket loan and Cycle to Work scheme.
Annual leave starts at five weeks plus bank holidays and increases to six weeks with service, plus you’ll get an extra paid “Day for You” each year. They offer a £1,500 CPD budget with three paid days off, access to internal learning, and funded certificate opportunities. Professional fees (RCVS, VDS, BVA) are fully covered, and long-service sabbaticals are available.
They can also access visa sponsorship and relocation support if required.
If you’re ready for a rewarding new chapter with flexibility and support built in, we’d love to hear from you.
