Are you an experienced vet looking for an exciting, varied role in a friendly and progressive practice? Do you have an interest in patient care and emergency care
Our client is an RCVS-accredited practice with six first-opinion branches and a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, serving the Stockport area. They strive to provide gold-standard care through a blend of advanced technology and a highly skilled, supportive team. Facilities include a CT scanner, visiting MRI scanner, doppler echocardiography, endoscopy, radiography suites, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and more, enabling them to manage a diverse caseload.
They value teamwork and ongoing development. And the culture thrives on collaboration, with regular team meetings, clinical clubs, and social events to help everyone excel both professionally and personally.
The Role: This full-time position offers a fantastic mix of daytime first-opinion care at 2 branches during the week, and twilight inpatient care alongside ECC consults on weekends (1-in-3) at the Stockport Hospital. During your weekend shifts (4pm-1am), you'll work with a skilled team of RVNs, receptionists, and consulting vets, followed by two days off in lieu. Part-time applications are also welcome. This would really suit someone who would be keen to try emergency work, maybe as step towards night work in the future, or someone with a particular hospital interest that they look to build on
They are committed to your career progression, offering six-monthly development reviews with a mentor to plan your growth and supportive of any interests you may have. They can offer mentorship in most areas due to the referral side of the business which works from the same site
Salary: Starting from £55,000, depending on experience.
Location: Nestled between the beautiful Peak District and Lake District, they are also just a short train ride from the vibrant city of Manchester. Whether you love outdoor adventures or urban excitement, there's no shortage of activities to enjoy in your downtime.
