We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon on behalf of my client at their RCVS-accredited, purpose-built Brighton Veterinary Hospital.
For over 45 years, they have been providing exceptional care to pets across the region. The dedicated team of skilled professionals is passionate about delivering excellence in veterinary medicine and outstanding client service. Alongside the large central hospital in Brighton, they have five fully equipped branch practices and provide out-of-hours support for several local clinics.
This role offers a diverse and interesting caseload, with both emergency and advanced medical cases referred to us from a branch network and partner practices. The modern hospital is designed to deliver the highest standards of care, featuring state-of-the-art facilities including CT, ultrasound, digital x-ray, laparoscopy, rigid and flexible endoscopy, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. They also have separate cat, dog, exotic, isolation, and day procedure wards, all supported by an exceptional nursing and client care team.
The team includes multiple certificate holders and experienced clinicians with a wide range of specialisms, including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, imaging, and exotic medicine. They also operate a dedicated out-of-hours team within the hospital, ensuring seamless continuity of care. They are committed to supporting professional development and offer abundant opportunities for learning and growth through both in-house training and external CPD.
This full-time role is based on a four-day working week with one in five weekends and a Monday off in lieu. You’ll be supported by a full out-of-hours team, ensuring a smooth handover and a healthy work-life balance. They are looking for an experienced and approachable veterinary professional who enjoys working collaboratively and values exceptional client communication and care.
Brighton offers a fantastic lifestyle, with the hospital just a short walk from the vibrant town centre and the seafront. The city is known for its welcoming and diverse community, rich cultural scene, and strong commitment to creativity and sustainability. With the South Downs National Park on the doorstep and easy access to London in under an hour, as well as proximity to Gatwick Airport, Brighton truly offers the best of both worlds — coastal living and city convenience.
They offer a competitive salary between £45,000 and £60,000, depending on experience, along with a generous benefits package that includes 6.6 weeks of paid holiday, an annual CPD allowance of £1,750, RCVS and VDS fees paid, and coverage for two additional professional memberships. You’ll also have access to Health Shield benefits for a wide range of health and wellbeing treatments, enhanced parental and family leave pay, company sick pay, and a Cycle to Work scheme. They also provide discounts on veterinary services, and regular opportunities for career progression, professional development, and wellbeing support.
If you’re an enthusiastic and compassionate vet looking to join a progressive, team-focused hospital in one of the UK’s most vibrant coastal cities, we’d love to hear from you.
