The Practice
Led by a Practice Partner and his supportive, experienced team, the practice is seeking an ambitious Veterinary Surgeon with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for clinical excellence. Confidence, curiosity and a willingness to explore different approaches to achieve the best patient outcomes are key qualities for success in this role.
The standalone practice is located on the outskirts of the university town of Loughborough, set within a busy residential area and offering on-site parking. Excellent motorway and rail links provide easy access to Nottingham, Leicester, the Peak District, Birmingham and London, with the practice’s central UK location making travel straightforward.

The Team
The successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive team of four Veterinary Surgeons, including two recent graduates who receive structured mentorship from Head Vet (five years qualified) and the practice owner and Head Vet. The veterinary team is supported by six RVNs, two SVNs, five CCAs and a dedicated Practice Manager.
Vets are encouraged to maintain a balanced mix of consulting and surgical work, supporting continuous professional growth in a collaborative environment.
Clinical Facilities & Caseload
The practice sees a varied and interesting mix of medical and surgical cases. The partner who qualified from Bristol in 2003, holds a postgraduate certificate in surgery, enabling the practice to offer more complex and orthopaedic procedures in-house. This also provides excellent opportunities for Veterinary Surgeons to further develop their surgical skill set.

• Salary up to £70,000 (dependent on experience and FTE)

• 1 in 4 Saturday rota (9am–12pm); part-time hours considered
