Our client is a long established, well-respected 1st opinion practice in the heart of the community within 4 miles of lively central Manchester. Theya re now looking for an experienced Senior Small Animal Vet to join them.

With a loyal client base you will have a varied mix of consults and surgery. They are able to offer a late start time and flexible rota. There are good facilities including a digital x-ray, ultrasound and in-house lab. They’re fortunate to have very loyal clients, including some that have been coming to them for over 40 years, and they work hard to deliver a service that's the best it can be, and that’s affordable for their clients. They are a big part of the community and are very proud of their reputation. The clinic is located close to the city centre of Manchester which has a great deal to offer. Shopping, theatres, concert venues, entertainment and so many great places to eat. Within a short distance there are also great opportunities to enjoy the outdoors including parks and canal walks and it’s a short drive to the Peak district.

You will be joining a small team of one other vet, one RVN, 3 VCAs and a practice manager. Some of the team have been with the practice for over 10 years.

The client is open to either full time or part time depending on your requirements and best of all the practice opens at 10am meaning you avoid rush hour traffic.  Full time is 40 hours a week with no OOH and 1:4 weekends consisting of a Saturday only. There is a collaborative environment, with the opportunity to share resources with other local practices and facilitating full continuity of cases. There are sole charge elements to the rota so you must be comfortable with this.

The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered, be competent in all routine surgeries and have sole charge experience. Team management or leadership experience would be an advantage. You will be an enthusiastic, passionate, patient, and caring individual who is interested and willing to promote and build the practice.
