The Role You Deserve
My Client is currently seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet to join a supportive and welcoming team in South Wales. This is a veterinary group of practices united by a shared commitment to great care and great culture. The main hospital in Bridgend and four branch sites across South Wales are all RCVS-accredited and proudly hold Silver Cat Friendly status. All fully equipped with the modern tools you’d expect in a forward-thinking environment
But what really sets them apart is the way they work. The team is led by five young Clinical Directors who are on the ground with you, doing the job, making decisions together, and supporting the team from the inside. It’s not about hierarchy—it’s about teamwork. Your voice is heard, your contribution is valued, and your ideas matter.
The position involves managing the day-to-day caseload at a branch practice, though there’s also the option to spend time at their RCVS Outstanding-accredited hospital—if that’s something that interests you. If you prefer to stay in one location or split your time in a particular way, they are happy to accommodate that. The role is full-time, with a salary ranging from £40,000 to £60,000 depending on experience and the value you bring to the team.

Based in South Wales, they are lucky to be surrounded by natural beauty and vibrant culture. To the east, you have the energy of Cardiff. To the west, the stunning coastlines of Swansea. Head north for the dramatic landscapes of the Brecon Beacons, or south for some of the UK’s best beaches. Whether you're into hiking, surfing, rugby, kayaking or just relaxing in a cosy café, you’ll find your place here.
They understand that choosing your next move as a veterinary professional is a big decision. That’s why they’re not just offering another job—they’re offering a role that can be tailored to fit your life, your goals, and your working style. Because they believe this should be as much about you as it is about them
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy being part of a positive, collaborative environment. They are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent clinical care, without the burden of sales targets. You’ll enjoy the opportunity to follow your cases from consultation through to diagnosis and treatment, with the support of a team who genuinely has your back.
The team is made up of people from all walks of life—surfers, hikers, gamers, coffee aficionados, sports lovers, and creatives. They celebrate diversity, and support each other as both colleagues and individuals. They have built a culture where everyone is welcome and everyone belongs.

They proudly offer their own in-house out-of-hours service, with most vets participating in either a first-on-call or second-on-call rota. However they understand that this doesn’t suit everyone and will always have an honest conversation about your preferences and do their best to tailor the role to suit your lifestyle. they believe great care comes from happy people—and that starts with a working pattern that actually works for you.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you’ll receive 28 days of annual leave (6.6 weeks) including Bank Holidays, along with two weeks of full sick pay and four weeks of half sick pay. Your RCVS fees will be covered, as will one other professional subscription of your choice. You’ll also gain access to Health Shield for healthcare support, and you’ll be joining a team where wellbeing is a priority—not a buzzword. With supportive leadership and genuine opportunities to develop your career, you’ll feel the difference
