This lovely team are seeking a permanent Mixed or Farm Animal Vet to become part of their friendly and progressive team. The role is highly flexible and can be tailored to suit your preference for either farm animal work, small animal work, or a mix of both. While experience in mixed practice is ideal, what matters most is your passion for delivering exceptional care.
They believe strongly in maintaining a healthy work–life balance. To support this, they offer a 4.5-day working week that alternates between four-day and five-day weeks. The out-of-hours rota is shared fairly at 1:6, with a day off in lieu following any weekend on call. You will have no more than six half-day Saturdays per year. They are committed to your professional development, offering full support for CPD so you can continue to grow and advance your skills.
You will be joining a large, experienced and supportive team of vets, nurses and administrative colleagues who make it easy for you to focus on what matters most: excellent patient care. Every day brings a varied and engaging caseload, and the modern, well-equipped facilities allow you to deliver high-quality veterinary services with confidence. The farm clients include dairy, beef and sheep enterprises, and they provide progressive herd and flock health support, alongside fertility services, mastitis control, calf health, bull and ram fertility work and parasite management. On the small animal side, they have invested in advanced equipment such as ultrasound, DR X-ray, dental radiography and in-house blood analysers, ensuring you have everything you need to offer outstanding care.
Situated just 40 minutes south of Dublin, the practice is perfectly located between the Wicklow Mountains and the sea, providing a beautiful setting with plenty to enjoy when you’re off duty. The salary range for this role is €48,000 to €80,000, depending on experience.
By joining, you will be part of a practice where your skills are appreciated, your wellbeing is prioritised and your professional aspirations are fully supported. You will also have access to a wide range of benefits including relocation support, enhanced annual leave, health and wellbeing programmes, pension contributions, generous CPD allowance with certificate funding, a paid charity day, professional fee coverage, colleague discounts, enhanced family leave and opportunities for career progression, along with annual pay reviews.
