An excellent opportunity has become available for a skilled and confident Veterinary Surgeon to join my clients friendly and collaborative team in a 24-Hour Hospital based in Richmond. This is a busy, well-equipped hospital that thrives on teamwork, clinical excellence, and a shared commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
This position offers the chance to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team in a modern, fully equipped hospital. It’s an ideal role for someone passionate about veterinary care and able to carry out surgeries and work up medical cases in a progressive clinical environment.
They understand the importance of work-life balance, and are happy to offer flexibility in working hours. Whether you prefer two to three days per week, school-hours shifts, or a different arrangement, they are open to creating a schedule that fits your lifestyle. This makes the role perfect for someone looking to combine professional growth with personal balance in a stimulating hospital setting.
Life as a Richmond vet is full of variety and challenge. Each day brings new experiences, from routine consultations, surgeries, and dental work to more advanced medical cases and emergency care. The hospital is fully equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and a CT scanner, ensuring you have the tools you need to deliver exceptional standards of care. The hospital also provides exposure to emergency and critical care work, helping you gain confidence in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. While an interest in medicine or ultrasonography is advantageous, it’s not essential.
You’ll be joining a long-established, experienced team during an exciting period of growth and development. Many of the vets and nurses have been there for over a decade, and they take pride in being both a nurse training practice and a graduate vet residency provider. You’ll also have opportunities to assist with complex surgical procedures, including advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic operations.
Thee hospital is set in the beautiful surroundings of South West London, close to Kew Gardens and Richmond Park. The practice is well connected by mainline rail, Overground, Underground, and bus routes, with free parking and convenient motorway access nearby.
This position includes a comprehensive benefits package with private medical insurance and a health cash plan from day one, covering dental, physio, and optical services, along with 24/7 private GP access. Life assurance is provided at three times your salary, and you’ll enjoy five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to six weeks with service.
You’ll receive £1,500 annual CPD funding with three days of paid study leave, access to internal CPD and Clinical Communities, and fully funded certificate opportunities. Professional fees for the VDS, RCVS, and BVA are included, and sabbatical options are available based on length of service. Full support for Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa, along with relocation assistance where applicable.
