Our client’s surgery opened in January 2020 and is a new division of a larger group.  The practice provides consultations and routine diagnostics and surgery. There are 2 consultation rooms, X-ray, theatre, and dentistry equipment.  The clinic is in a lovely location with easy access to Oxford.

The team consists of 15 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses, an Animal Nursing Assistant and Receptionist. Among the vets are a Specialist in Zoo & Wildlife Medicine, and Advanced Practitioners in Small Animal Medicine and ECC. Plus, there are regular visits to the main hospital from a referral dermatologist. They receive referrals nationally for exotic pets and for radioiodine therapy of hyperthyroid cats and locally for outpatient CT scanning, and for some internal medicine and orthopaedic-surgery cases. 

The successful candidate will be an experienced Vet who is confident with sole charge.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in internal medicine and this role will include assisting with the organising and running of the Radioactive Iodine Unit, carrying out routine consultations, operating and diagnostics.  You will also be responsible for driving clinical standards and client and patient care.  This is a full-time permanent role working 4 days a week, with Saturdays on a 1:5 shifts from 9:00am-1:00pm and an additional 1:10 on call.
