Our client has a RCVS accredited, purpose-built hospital practice in Axminster, with a branch practice nearby. They are now looking for an experienced Small Animal Vet to join them.

The clinic has most recently developed a separate and dedicated OOH night service, working out of the hospital, with other surrounding practices feeding into this service.

This is large, purpose-built small animal hospital - the only practice with RCVS Accredited hospital status and 24-hour patient care within a 20-mile radius. They are an integral part of the community, working closely with many charities. They have a fantastic space to work with excellent facilities and diagnostic equipment. There’s an outstanding team with a wide range and depth of experience, allowing staff time to deliver a high standard of client and patient care.  There have hospital ward rounds every morning and regular team meetings, the team look after one another, and wellbeing initiatives are encouraged and seen through by our ‘Wellbeing Champions’ in the team. Lunch and rest breaks are provided and protected.  They are adaptable and open to new ideas and different ways of doing what they do. They are always looking to continually improve clinical standards, protocols and operating systems where they can. As a management team, they are honest, reliable and approachable – all colleagues are treated with the same respect and integrity. Innovation and the most brilliant ideas can come from anywhere, so suggestions from all of the team are listened to and given the time that they need. There is a team of 13 veterinary surgeons are assisted by the nursing team consisting of 10 RVNs, 3 night RVNs, 3 SVNs and 2 VCAs.

Salary for this role is between £45 – 63k dependent on experience, there is also a relocation allowance of up to £5k for the right candidate.
