Our client has 3- sites with a great team on board, who are now looking for a Full Time RVN to join the team.

The clinics have excellent facilities including being able to offer diagnostic imaging at 2 of their sites, dentals, lab work and surgical procedures.
There’s another branch which carries out orthopaedic work and they see a varied range of cases; no two days are the same. They are increasing their focus on nurse consults and wellness screening as well as orthopaedics.
The team consists of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, a Veterinary Care Assistant and 9 Support Staff. There is a Certificate holder in surgery at present and one Vet currently studying for a medicine certificate.
The main role would be based at one site but the successful applicant will also be placed on a rota to cover the other two sites and therefore must have a flexible approach and be able to drive. This rota would be the place of work for weekend duty. Ther three branches are easily accessible, and they are not far from the North Coast, which offers scenic walks and sights such as the Giant's Causeway. The clinic is also very close to Belfast which is an upcoming and thriving City.

The role will involve admitting patients, preparing for surgeries including drawing up of medications, assisting vets with surgeries, providing care and treatment to in-patients, running nurse consults/weight management clinics, lab work/x-rays/dental scale and polishing, discharging in-patients, cleaning kennels and surgical areas and reception duties on occasion when necessary. The successful candidate will slot into the current nursing rota. This will give them an opportunity to mix with all the team, across all three sites. A driving licence will be essential to travel between sites.
The rota includes working Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm. The weekend rota is 1:7 Saturdays from 9:00am- 6:00pm and Sunday 9:00am -1:00pm with TOIL for this the following week, 1/2 day Tuesday and all day Wednesday. There are no out of hours with this role.
