Our client’s clinic is located in the West Midlands on the outskirts of Birmingham. They are now looking for a Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for exotics.

The client has a group of 6 practices in the area with great transport links into Birmingham city centre. They are also very lucky to have some beautiful rural areas near too such as Kinver, Clent Hills and the Lickey Hills.  Between the surgeries, they offer a CT scanning, digital x-ray, ultrasound, digital dental x-ray, endoscopy, ECG and in house haematology, biochemistry, and blood gases. There are 24 Veterinary Surgeons, 30 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 6 Student Veterinary Nurses, 13 Veterinary Auxiliaries, 25 Receptionists, 4 Admin Staff and a team of 6 Managers, each one a vital part of the team. They have certificate holders in various disciplines (Surgical, Orthopaedic, ophthalmology, cardiology, exotic species, internal medicine) which allows them to keep a large and varied case load inhouse. They also support numerous local charities.

The successful candidate will work between their exotics branch and other small animal surgeries. Experience working with exotic species is ideal but someone with a keen interest to develop in this area would be great too. The rota will include working 5 days per week, 1 full weekend with TOIL and 1 Saturday morning in 6. They have their own dedicated night team so no need to worry if you’re not a night owl.

The salary for this role will be up to £29,000 depending on experience.
