Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Director to join the team. This is a multi-site practice group, consisting of three first opinion sites and a referral centre, which hosts the Highlands’ first out of hours emergency clinic.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Practice Director and Referrals Clinical Director to set professional and clinical objectives, reach business performance goals, and support and mentor colleagues to ensure they offer the best care to their patients, clients and colleagues.
Ideally, applicants for this role should:

·  Have a proven track record of clinical leadership with a passion for success.
·  Be an experienced veterinary surgeon who will share in surgery and consultations alongside their directing role, supporting the clinical team through knowledge and best practice.
·  Demonstrates skills in leadership and management, with the ability to motivate the team to reach the highest standards.
·  To take responsibility for developing clinical strategy and enhancing their service provision
·  Develop the team supporting career decisions including CPD and certification

The clinic is a reputable training practice; the team enjoy building up the skills and confidence of new graduate vets and working with local colleges to bring on RVNs. Testimonials from their own graduate vets have claimed that they offer the best support to newly graduated vets. The practice benefits from a large, supportive and friendly team, enabling graduates to develop to the best of their ability. Each graduate is given their own dedicated mentor, who is vetGDP trained, allowing for a smooth progression through the vetGDP programme. Support can be found from several vetGDP trained staff in the practice. Many of the graduates they have supported have stayed on to gain skills through various certificates, developing their own practice and grow the multidisciplinary practice.

There may be some sold charge at branches and there is a recently launched dedicated OOH practice that is located within the Referrals site.  They have regular staff events, activities and days out, but nothing brings them together like fundraising for the local community. Over the years they have raised over £12,000, completed a 24-hour kennel stay, a 12-hour bike-a-thon and the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course.

Inverness is a city with good shopping, cafes, live music venues, restaurants and bars. There is a theatre (Eden Court) which hosts musicals, plays and ballet; and not forgetting the numerous outdoor music events during the Summer. The Highlands are certainly the place to be for those with a passion for the outdoors - the scenery is second to none and there is endless opportunity for walking, wild swimming, camping and paddle boarding. Inverness caters to families with an array of festivals and child-friendly events. There is a leisure centre and pool with waterslides, ice skating rink, climbing wall, many parks, and petting farms, to name a few. Many of the primary and high schools in the area have very good reputations and ranking in Scotland.
