Our client is a busy small animal practice with 6 consult rooms, a large theatre, a fully equipped lab, an isolation area and a separate dog/cat ward based near Southampton.  They are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Vet.

The clinic is well equipped with the following equipment: Piped Isoflo anaesthesia, Digital x-ray, Ultrasound machine, ECG (both in-house & access to external reading & interpreting), Air-driven dental station, Laboratory capable of full biochemistry & haematology.  The clinic is a host practice for Vets Now so Vets can hand over cases directly to the out-of-hours team rather than transferring like other local practices.  You will be joining a team of 5 Vets and 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, all supported by 3 Animal Care Assistants and 5 Receptionists. Two of the Vets have certificates, one in cardiology and one in diagnostic imaging. The team are experienced but very welcoming, coming from across the local area and further afield.

The clinic is just a very short distance from New Forest National Park, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Winchester. The surgery is easily accessible via bus and train with stations for both in Bitterne.

This is a full-time role for 40-hours week over 4 days with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. They can be flexible and welcoming to a candidate wanting to discuss the possibility of a 20-hour+ per week working pattern to fit their needs as well as the practice needs. No OOH as they have Vets Now on site.

Salary up to £65,000 DOE plus a Welcome Bonus up to £1,000 and Relocation Allowance of £3000.
