Our client is a long established practice located in the heart of Plymouth, with a longstanding client base. They are now looking for a full or part time small animal vet to join them.
The practice is bright and modern, having recently undergone a complete refurbishment of all clinical and reception areas. The facilities are well equipped including theatre, large prep room with 2 tables, Xray and ultrasound room and separate dental room with up to date dental Xray and very efficient new CR7 processor. They continue to invest in equipment and modern working practices. You will be supported by 5 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Animal Nursing Assistants and a Student Veterinary Nurse and an efficient reception team.
The clinic focus is to concentrate on clinical excellence and client care, as opposed to being target driven. The role involves a variety of cases, with an equal share of surgery and consultations. They encourage continuity of care, from first consult through to surgery, with an aim to deliver the very best outcomes to clients and their pets.
They are flexible and aim to achieve a great work-life balance for all employees. The practice opening hours are 8:30am to 7pm, Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings 9am to 2pm. Although they are flexible in what they can offer, they do need to ensure that these hours are covered on a rota basis equally shared between their vets. Saturday requirement is 1:4 with sole charge on Saturdays only. The are no out of hours as this is covered by a local veterinary hospital.
They are looking to recruit a friendly qualified Veterinary Surgeon, preferably with recent experience in a small animal practice. Most importantly, someone who is confident in managing medicine cases and competent in managing a busy daily surgical load. Salary is very competitive up to £63,000, depending on experience.
