We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a fantastic team in Cambridgeshire.
This is a busy first opinion practice who see a wide variety of cases. They have a purpose-built building in the lovely rural area of Ely, Cambridgeshire, with a large range of veterinary equipment such as a brand-new x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope and dental x-ray.
You will be joining an experienced and supportive team of 6 vets, all of whom have their own areas of interest with enhanced knowledge and some are studying towards their certificate. The vets enjoy discussing cases of interest amongst themselves and use each other’s knowledge to enhance patient care. There is a visiting orthopaedic specialist who visits regularly, that our vets have the opportunity to be involved with. In addition they have a fantastic team of 8 RVN’s with their own areas of interest aswell. Some specialising in wound care, ISFM certificate and Emergency and Critical care. The team do a lot of work with local charities including WGAS, RSPCA and particularly with cats protection.
The team are looking for a friendly individual who enjoys working in a close team. Experience would be ideal as well as confidence with surgery however training and support can be given. In addition to your excellent clinical and communication skills, you will need to be a people-oriented person, who is willing to support and guide your colleagues.
General Vet duties including a mix of consulting and operating, 4-5 days per week working 30-41 hrs per week average with 1 in 3 Saturday working but no Sundays or OOH’s.
Salary for the role is up to £58,000 depending on experience + accommodation can be provided if required or a relocation allowance of up to £5k if preferred.
