Surgical Veterinary Surgeon – Cat Clinic
My client in Cardiff are looking for a surgically confident veterinary surgeon with a passion for feline care to join a dedicated team
This is a unique opportunity to work in a cat-only clinic, set in a charming building with a calm, focused environment. You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced team made up of two veterinary surgeons, a Head RVN, RVN, and two friendly receptionists.
They are seeking someone with a strong surgical background who is comfortable performing a wide range of soft tissue procedures. You’ll need to be confident in surgeries such as neutering, caesarean sections, exploratory laparotomies, enterectomies/enterotomies, cystotomies, thyroidectomies, pinnectomies, enucleations, entropion corrections, anal sacculectomies, and lumpectomies.
The clinic is well-equipped to support high standards of care and complex procedures. Facilities include digital x-ray, Adaptix 3D imaging for orthopaedics and dental work, advanced ultrasound with pulsed wave and colour Doppler, multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring, cryotherapy, a radioactive iodine unit, blood pressure monitoring (Doppler and oscillometric), and a full IDEXX in-house lab suite. They also have an oxygen unit, incubator, microscope, and Burtons VETair2 dental unit.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking group that values clinical excellence, wellbeing, and professional growth.
