Veterinary Surgeon – Up to £65,000 + Relocation Support
West Midlands
Permanent | Full-time & Part-time (35+ hrs/week)
Are you a confident, compassionate Vet who thrives in consults, surgery, and dentistry? Are you looking for a supportive, progressive practice with outstanding facilities? This could be your perfect next step.
We are working with our client to find an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a lovely practice in the West Midlands.
The role will be primarily based in Dudley, with occasional cover at other local branches. With a history of nurturing talent from graduates to leadership roles, they are a forward-thinking, highly successful practice recognised for clinical excellence and a strong team culture.
The RCVS-accredited Veterinary Hospital and surrounding branches are just 30 minutes from Birmingham City Centre and offer state-of-the-art facilities, including a CT scanner, 12 operating theatres, and a fully equipped dental suite. You will be joining a team of 16 Vets, including seven Certificate holders and six more currently working towards qualifications in areas such as cardiology, dermatology, medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, and both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
They have a dedicated night team who handle all out-of-hours work, so your weekdays will finish at 6:30pm. Weekend work is shared fairly, with one full weekend every ten weeks and one Saturday every five weeks, with time back in lieu. And yes… they even have posh coffee in the break room.
This is a 40-hour-a-week role, though they also welcome applications from part-time candidates working 35 hours or more. In return, they can offer a salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience, plus a relocation package if required. You will enjoy five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off, RCVS and VDS fees paid, and a generous CPD budget. They can provide full support, both financial and clinical, for those working towards certificates. Additional benefits include staff discounts, an employer pension scheme, an e-car salary sacrifice scheme, enhanced family leave, enhanced sickness pay, life assurance, and a comprehensive wellness package that includes an Employee Assistance Programme, eyecare vouchers, flu jabs, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
They are looking for someone who enjoys a varied caseload and values collaboration. Whether you want to refine your skills, develop a specialism, or work towards a leadership role, they will support your professional growth.
