Veterinary Surgeon – Orthopaedic Focus
This long-established, multi-vet hospital based in the Bromley area are offering an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in orthopedics to join an expert team. This is a fantastic chance to develop or expand your orthopedic skillset within a supportive and well-equipped environment.
This hospital has recently undergone a full refurbishment and is fitted with state-of-the-art facilities including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopic surgical equipment. The site features two operating theatres, five consulting rooms, a separate dental suite, imaging room, and a dedicated cat ward complete with its own waiting room and consulting areas to ensure a calm experience for feline patients.
They also provide in-house imaging and benefit from the support of the Virtual Veterinary Service (VVS), allowing remote access to specialist input for cardiac and abdominal ultrasound cases. The dedicated night team manages out-of-hours care, supporting multiple local practices and ensuring continuity of care for patients around the clock.
As an orthopedic vet, you’ll be joining a team that values clinical excellence and collaborative support. You’ll bring experience and confidence in fracture repair, joint surgeries, and soft tissue orthopedics. Proficiency in procedures such as TPLO, TTA, and arthroscopy is highly valued, as is experience with laparoscopic surgeries, including lap spays and advanced soft tissue techniques. You’ll also have strong diagnostic skills, especially in interpreting imaging such as X-rays, CTs, and MRIs.
You will be RCVS-registered and experienced in delivering exceptional clinical care while communicating clearly and compassionately with clients. As part of the collaborative hospital team, you’ll help foster a progressive and positive clinical culture, support nurse-led consults and Schedule 3 procedures, and mentor colleagues through your leadership and problem-solving approach.
