Soft Tissue Surgeon – East London
My clients largest 24-hour hospital is seeking a talented soft tissue surgeon ready to step into a purely surgical role on a full-time basis. This is a rare opportunity to take on a high-level surgical caseload in a flagship hospital, working alongside an exceptional clinical team.
They’re looking for a certificate holder or advanced practitioner in surgery, ideally with experience in ultrasonography. In this position, you’ll work 40 hours per week, including participation in a weekend rota and two bank holidays each year, supporting the hospital during key times. You’ll handle advanced soft tissue cases in collaboration with experienced theatre RVNs, providing outstanding surgical care to patients from local community and an extensive referral network of over 20 branches.
The surgical work spans GP procedures through to complex referral-level cases, including SUB placement, liver resections and thoracic surgery. The facilities feature multiple cautery units, a harmonic scalpel, and a full laparoscopy, thoracoscopy and endoscopy suite. You’ll also benefit from state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, including a new ultrasound scanner, CT scanner, and an on-site commercial laboratory. Their strong medical team includes a specialist in diagnostic imaging, and surgeons routinely perform advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures.
Located on the edge of leafy Essex, Wanstead offers the best of both worlds — easy, direct transport links into central London combined with a vibrant local scene of cafés, restaurants and green spaces.
For this position, they offer a salary of £80,000–£110,000 (FTE) depending on experience, with scope for progression as you grow within the role. the benefits package includes 6.6 weeks’ annual leave including bank holidays, generous relocation assistance where applicable, up to £2,000 CPD budget annually with five days’ paid CPD leave, and private medical healthcare insurance with Bupa.
If you are ready to take on an advanced soft tissue caseload in a highly respected hospital with exceptional facilities and support, we’d love to hear from you.
